Riversdale Golf Club

Course Overview

Established in 1892, Riversdale Golf Club is one of Victoria’s oldest and most respected golf clubs. With a proud heritage and a course designed by renowned architect Alex Russell, the club has long been recognised for its commitment to both tradition and excellence in course presentation.

Riversdale’s 18-hole course blends classic design principles with a natural aesthetic. Undulating fairways, mature native and exotic tree lines, and a series of lakes and stone bridges create a striking landscape that enhances both playability and ecological value. The course layout rewards strategic thinking while offering a serene and visually rich playing experience.

Project

GolfScape is working closely with Riversdale Golf Club to implement a site-wide vegetation management program. Our focus is on restoring and enhancing the ecological integrity of the course by removing invasive species, strengthening indigenous plant communities, and supporting long-term biodiversity. This work ensures that Riversdale’s renowned landscape remains both sustainable and aligned with the architectural vision of the course.
