Glenelg Golf Club

Course Overview

Established in 1927, Glenelg Golf Club is one of South Australia’s premier private golf clubs, renowned for its championship layout, rich heritage, and progressive environmental leadership. The club has earned widespread recognition for its integration of natural systems and commitment to sustainable course management.

Glenelg’s 18-hole course offers a strategic and engaging layout framed by coastal sand dunes, native revegetation zones, and carefully managed wetlands. The combination of firm playing surfaces, subtle contouring, and indigenous vegetation creates a unique blend of challenge and natural beauty. Glenelg has become a benchmark for how golf and environmental values can coexist.

Project

GolfScape is engaged to consult with Glenelg Golf Club on enhancing its vegetation management practices. This includes reviewing and refining current techniques, adjusting seasonal schedules, and identifying opportunities to strengthen native vegetation outcomes. Our advice supports the club’s goal of maintaining high-quality playing surfaces while achieving long-term ecological resilience through more strategic and adaptive vegetation management.
